Menomonee Falls

This 2-story residence had all of its bedrooms and full bathrooms on the 2nd floor. To accommodate an elderly parent in a wheelchair, a rear yard addition was added that included a generous size bedroom and a new rear entry with an adjacent concrete ramp. An accessible bathroom with two entry points for convenience was added where a seldom used dining room was located. The kitchen, which needed updating anyway, benefited from a new wheelchair friendly design.

ADDITION #1

This 2-story residence had all of its bedrooms and full bathrooms on the 2nd floor.  To accommodate an elderly parent in a wheelchair, a rear yard addition was added that included a generous size bedroom and a new rear entry with an adjacent concrete ramp.  An accessible bathroom with two entry points for convenience was added where a seldom used dining room was located.  The kitchen, which needed upgrading anyway, benefited from a new wheelchair friendly design.

ADDITION #2

After raising their family in this 2-story residence, the owners realized it was not suitable or safe for their increasing mobility chalanges. Before the need became critical, they decided to have the modifications done that would allow them to live in their home comfortably for many years.  An existing bedroom area was reclaimed to create an accessible full bathroom with direct access to a larger bedroom addition at the rear of the house.  The existing side entry, which was too tight and close to the basement stair, was redesigned to include a wheelchair ramp and a safer and more direct access to the kitchen from outside.  A first floor laundry was added in place of the existing small bathroom.
